Disney has announced they will be releasing a new “Arendelle Castle Yule Log” for the Holiday Season.

It will be coming to Disney+ on Friday, December 11th.

The official description states:

For your holiday celebrations, set the wintry mood with Anna and Elsa’s Arendelle Castle yule log. The castle is newly decorated this year with elements harkening back to Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven’s recent journey to the Enchanted Forest. Happy Holidays from Arendelle!

If your in the mood to relax with a slow burning log on a fire over the Thanksgiving holiday, the first Arendelle Castle Yule Log video was over 3 hours long and is available on Disney+ now.

Disney is set to launch a brand new general entertainment brand “Star” on Tuesday 23rd February in 17 countries around the world including the UK, Australia and New Zealand. “Star” will include shows and movies from ABC, FX, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures.

It’s been confirmed that all 173 episodes from across 8 seasons of ABC’s popular series “Castle”, will be available on Disney+ as part of the “Star” launch.

When viewers first met Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist, he was creatively blocked. But when the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books, Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle’s writer intuition and Beckett’s creative detective work.

The series debuted on ABC in 2009 and ran until September 2015. Its won a number of awards including many People’s Choice Awards.

유쾌합니다. 저는 개인적으로 범죄수사물을 좋아하는데요. 주인공인 미스터리 소설가 캐슬 역을 연기하는 나단 필리온(Nathan Fillion)은 극중 굉장히 유쾌합니다. 딸과 그야말로 친구처럼 지내는 아버지의 전형을 보여주는데요.

그래서인지 드라마 분위기가 무겁기보다는 시종일관 웃음이 흘러요. 물론 진지할 때도 있습니다만..

본지 꽤 오래된 작품인데 최근 디즈니플러스(Disneyplus)에 가입해 여러 작품을 보다보니 '캐슬(Castle)'이 눈에 띄더군요. 오랜만에 다시 시작하고픈 생각이 들어 시즌1부터 정주행 중입니다.

시즌1의 시작은 이렇습니다.

유명한 미스터리 소설 작가 캐슬은 자신의 책에 나오는 수법을 모방한 살인사건이 벌어지자 경찰의 조사를 받게 됩니다.

그리고 이 즈음 책의 마감은 다가오는데 진도가 나가지 않아 골머리를 앓던 캐슬은 자신의 유명세와 인맥을 활용, 경찰의 수사에 함께 할 수 있는 기회를 만듭니다.

결국 캐슬을 달가워하지 않던 경찰 베켓은 어쩔수 없이 수사현장에 그와 함께 동행하게 됩니다.

캐슬 역을 연기한 배우 나단 필리온(Nathan Fillion)입니다.

장난기 넘치고 눈빛에 악동 느낌이 묻어있다고나 할까요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

그래서 보고 있으면 웃음이 나는, 캐슬을 그런 캐릭터로 만들어줘서 너무 좋았어요!

가족과 관련된 사연 때문에 경찰이 된 경찰 케이트 베켓 역을 연기한 배우 스타나 카틱(Stana Katic)입니다. 고위직과의 연줄을 이용해 사건에 참여하게 된 캐슬을 못마땅해하면서도 작가 특유의 눈썰미와 추리력으로 수사에 도움을 주는 그를 조금씩 파트너로 받아들입니다.

시즌1에서는 커트머리로 나오는데요. 정말 매력적입니다. 컬을 준 긴 헤어스타일은 그야말로 여성미 넘치네요. 캐슬이 반할 만한 인물입니다.

예전 기억을 되살려본다면, 두 사람이 티격태격 하는 과정을 거쳐 서로에게 호감을 품게 되는 로맨스의 발전 과정이 또 하나 눈여겨봐야 할 포인트입니다.

'캐슬'하면 이 경찰 듀오도 빼놓을 수 없습니다. 깨알 확약을 보여주는데요. 드라마를 한층 더 재미있게 만들어주는 감초 역할을 톡톡히 합니다.

배우 시머스 데버(Seamus Dever)입니다.

캐슬의 딸 알렉시스 캐슬 역을 연기한 배우 몰리 C. 퀸(Molly C. Quinn, Molly Caitlyn Quinn)입니다.

극중 진정한 엄친딸이자 공부까지 잘하는 만점짜리 딸을 보여줍니다. 너무 사랑스러워요~~

캐슬의 엄마 마르타 로저스 역을 연기한 배우 수잔 설리반(Susan Sullivan)입니다.

극중 과거 할리우드 배우로 활동했지만 매우 유명한 배우는 아니었습니다. 하지만 늘 화려하고 로맨스를 꿈꾸는 미워할 수 없는 푼수 캐릭터입니다.

극중 부검의 레이니 역을 연기한 배우 타말라 존스(Tamala Jones)입니다.

범죄수사물도 이렇게 유쾌하게 풀어낼 수 있다는 걸 보여주는 매력적인 작품입니다. 다시 보게 되니 좋네요. 근데 다시보기 시작하고나서 알았어요. 시즌8까지 나온걸로 아는데, 디즈니플러스에 시즌3까지 밖에 없네요.. 헐~ 언제 올라올까요ㅠㅠ
