HOI4를 실행하면 바로 게임이 시작되는 것이 아니라, DLC와 모드를 선택할 수 있는 화면이 등장한다.

(Steam 기준) HOI4의 모드는 HOI4 허브에 접속해 [창작마당] 항목에서 각종 모드들을 다운 받아 플레이할 수 있다.

HOI4는 사용자들이 모드를 커스텀하고 공유하여 플레이할 수 있도록 하였는데,

간혹 모드에서 지원하는 HOI4 버전과 현재 HOI4의 버전이 달라 모드를 다운하였지만, 플레이할 수 없는 경우가 발생한다.

아래처럼 모드를 다운받아 적용할 때 모드 옆에 경고 표시가 뜬다면,

현재의 게임버전과 모드에서 지원하는 게임 버전이 달라 게임에서 적용할 수 없는 상태인 것이다.

그래서 모드를 적용해 원활히 플레이하기 위해선 현재 HOI4의 버전을 알고 있어야 한다!

HOI4의 버전은 게임 시작 화면에서 [다시하기] 버튼 아래에서 확인할 수 있다.

본인이 원하는 모드를 즐기기 위해 때로는 어쩔 수 없이 HOI4의 버전을 낮춰야 할 때도 있다.

(HOI4 업데이트 직후에는 각종 모드들이 업데이트된 버전을 지원하지 않는 경우가 빈번하다.)

그런 경우를 위해 Steam에서 HOI4를 구매한 경우, HOI4의 버전을 어떻게 낮추는지 알아보자.

1. 자신의 Steam 라이브러리에서 Hearts of Iron 4 우클릭하여 [속성] 들어가기

2. [베타] 탭에서 본인의 [액세스 코드] 입력하기

HOI4 버전을 낮추기 위해선, HOI4에서 발급하는 액세스 코드가 필요하다.

이 액세스 코드를 얻기 위해선 아래의 Paradox Games 사이트에 로그인 후, 본인의 액세스 코드를 얻어야 한다.

이때 로그인하는 Paradox Games 계정은 본인이 플레이할 HOI4의 계정이어야 한다.

(Paradox Games의 계정은 보통 맨처음 HOI4를 실행할 때, 만들게 되어있다.)

로그인 후, [Access earlier versions ]항목에서 본인의 HOI4 액세스 코드를 복붙한 후, 다시 [속성]의 [베타] 탭에 입력하면,

HOI4의 모든 이전 버전들을 플레이 해 볼 수 있게 된다!!
